Two long-established Swiss specialists are combining their expertise. On 1 July 2026, Hydrior AG will be integrated into Schaerer Schlaepfer AG. This strategic move will bring our expertise together and create new opportunities for our customers.

The chemical industry in Switzerland stands for the highest levels of precision, reliability and innovation. Strong partnerships are not only necessary to uphold these values in a dynamic market, but also to actively develop them further. It is precisely for this reason that we are now taking the next logical step: Hydrior AG is becoming part of Schaerer Schlaepfer AG.

Synergies for the benefit of our customers

For decades, both companies have been developing and producing tailor-made solutions for their customers. Whilst Schaerer Schlaepfer AG is renowned as an expert in a wide range of surfactants, Hydrior AG has built up outstanding niche expertise in the field of cosmetics using polyglycerol esters as well as in innovative surfactant specialties. 

With this integration, those areas of expertise can be brought together. This results in an expanded product portfolio from a single source, increased production capacity and, of course, even greater flexibility in the development of specific formulations.

Despite all these changes, the most important thing remains the same: the high quality standards for which both names are renowned will continue to be upheld without compromise. Existing products, formulations and specifications will remain exactly the same. Our personal contacts for customers and suppliers will also continue to be available with their usual dedication.

For existing Schaerer Schlaepfer customers, everything will remain as it is. Customers of the former Hydrior AG can look forward to working with Schaerer Schlaepfer AG, a competent and reliable partner.
